The Local Festival and Participative Events Programme for County Clare 2019 aims to support festivals and events that drive domestic tourism, stimulate local economic activity and help to improve the visitor experience in Clare.
The Department of Rural and Community Development has announced a new round of funding for 2019 under the CLÁR scheme. CLÁR is a targeted investment programme for rural areas that aims to provide funding for small scale infrastructural projects in areas which have suffered the greatest levels of population decline.
Clare County Council, in association with Shannon Heritage, is undertaking a tourism planning process that will result in a ten-year Tourism Strategy for Clare.
The valuable contribution made by County Clare's community groups and volunteers to their local area is being celebrated through a new awards scheme.
We are currently preparing the 2019 – 2024 Clare Arts Plan.
Clare County Council intends to produce a Tourism Providers Database for County Clare. This database will be used by Clare County Council to contact Tourism Providers in County Clare in relation to tourism development and promotional purposes e.g. contact details, information, activities, events and promotions which Clare County Council may deem relevant. On the 15th October we updated the website to the first iteration of a responsive website. The main objective of the website upgrade is to serve all our customers better by making the website responsive.
