Tulla Road Ennis Cycle Scheme

Clare County Council has secured €1.8 million in Active Travel grant funding to upgrade the existing cycling infrastructure on the R352 Tulla Road, Ennis, between St Senan’s Road and Hillcrest junction to improve safety and continuity for cyclists via the provision of a suite of traffic calming measures.

Watermain crossing at Junction 8 of the M18

The Ballycasey roundabout in Shannon and the approach roads will be closed on Thursday, 2nd February, from 7pm till 6am and on Friday, 3rd February, 7pm till 6am. This closure is to allow for the installation of a new watermain. Diversions and signage are in place.

Notice: Risk of black ice

Following the forecast from Met Éireann, freezing conditions are expected on road surfaces again tonight.

Clare County Council is advising of possible black ice due to coastal showers, even on treated surfaces. Motorists are advised to exercise caution.

Rosmanagher Road in Sixmilebridge temporarily closed

The L-7112-0, Rosmanagher Road in Sixmilebridge has been temporarily closed until further notice due to flooding, information signage is in place.

Ennis Christmas Parking

The Ennis Christmas Market takes place in Abbey Street Car Park from 1st to 4th December inclusive. As a result, the west of the main through road (adjacent to the river between Costa Coffee and O’Briens) will be unavailable from 6:00pm this evening (29th November) until 8:00am on Monday (5th December). Abbey Street Car Park will be unavailable during these times. Christmas parking arrangements and alternative parking locations are listed below.
